Subject: General Availability Announcement for VIP Access for Desktop (Mac) 1.0.8

Dear Symantec VIP customers,

Today, we are pleased to announce the release of VIP Access for Desktop (Mac) 1.0.8.

This is a recommended upgrade for customers currently using VIP Access for Desktop (Mac) 1.0.7 or earlier.

This release provides the following new features and enhancements. 

• Native Apple Silicon support: VIP Access has been refactored as a native app with full support for Apple M-series chips (M1 through M4), ensuring optimal performance and long-term compatibility as Apple phases out Intel-only application support. It also continues to support Intel-based Macs running macOS 15 and above.
• Saved Screen Position: The app will now remember where you last placed it on your desktop, reopening in your preferred location instead of resetting to the bottom-right corner.
• Technical improvements and fixes: Includes general technical improvements and bug fixes.

Important Note for Upgrades: Upon launching version 1.0.8 for the first time after upgrading, you will be prompted for your keychain password. Copy and paste the provided password into the dialog box and select Always Allow to finalize the setup.
