Subject: End of Service Announcement for Datacom/AD for z/OS 14.0 and 15.0

 

Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the Broadcom Support Policy and Terms available here, please consider this email your written notification that we are discontinuing technical support for Datacom/AD for z/OS 14.0 and Datacom/AD for z/OS 15.0, effective August 31, 2022. This will allow our Development organization to more effectively focus its resources and add value to the next release of Datacom/AD for z/OS.  After August 31, 2022, Broadcom will continue to make 14.0 and 15.0 self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term. 

At this time, we encourage you to plan for the migration to Datacom/AD for z/OS 15.1 S2101 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the features and enhancements this release has to offer. For information on Datacom/AD for z/OS, please visit the Datacom pages at Support.

As Broadcom would like to make your upgrade to Datacom/AD for z/OS 15.1 as straightforward as possible, we are offering the following:

●        The latest supported Version/Release of Datacom/AD for z/OS, at no charge, as long as you have an active maintenance contract for Datacom/AD for z/OS.  Please use the Datacom/AD 15.1 Service Update S2101 PAX to upgrade with most 15.1 maintenance pre-applied.  

●        Documentation to help you prepare for your upgrade to the new Version/Release can be viewed on the Datacom pages at Support.  Visit this link to find a series of YouTube videos on the Datacom/AD 15.1 Upgrade Process.

●        Accelerated time-to-value when you engage Services to assist you with any or all parts of your upgrade.
