Subject: Limited Support for CA Business Intelligence 3.x
CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with our CA Support Policy and Terms (https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/recommended-reading/product-related-technical-information/ca-support-policy-and-terms.html), please consider this email your written notification that we will be providing limited support for CA Business Intelligence 3.x, All Languages, All Releases, All Service Packs, beginning THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2015.
SAP provides the BusinessObjects platform upon which CA Business Intelligence is built. SAP has announced end-of-service for the version of BusinessObjects used by the CA Security products listed below. CA Business Intelligence 3.x was provided with the following releases:
- CA Data Protection 14.x, 15.0
- CA Privileged Identity Manager 12.7, 12.8, 12.9
- CA Identity Governance 12.6
- CA Identity Manager 12.6, 12.5
- CA Single Sign-On 12.52, 12.51, 12.5, 12.0 SPx
Customers may continue to run and use CA Business Intelligence 3.x in production and non-production environments after the End-of-Service Date. Customers can continue to contact CA Support (Level 1) after Thursday, December 31, 2015, for basic installation, administration, configuration, usage, and trouble-shooting of CA Business Intelligence 3.x on an "as is" basis if installed in conjunction with a still-supported product version. However, due to SAP’s End-of-Service for the BusinessObjects 3.x, if a workaround cannot be determined, the customer understands that their problem may potentially be deemed "irresolvable".
After THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2015, CA Technologies will no longer provide fixes, patches, service packs, updates, upgrades, programmatic changes, new features, or coverage for updated or new operating systems, databases, browsers, or any additional components for CA Business Intelligence 3.x. CA Support may submit potential security and vulnerability issues to SAP Support for possible remediation. Any such remediation provided by SAP Support to CA Support will be made available to CA customers.
At this time, we encourage you to begin planning your migration to the next release of any of the above mentioned products, which will be available before December 31, 2015. New versions of CA Business Intelligence will be included with these releases that provide extended premium support.
The upcoming releases for these products, supporting the 4.1 SP3 version of CA Business Intelligence, are:
- CA Single Sign-On: 12.52 SP2 (on Windows 2012R2), 12.52 SP1 CR04 (all currently-supported operating system versions of 12.52 support matrix)
- CA Identity Manager: 12.6 SP7
- CA Identity Governance: 12.6 SP4
- CA Privileged Identity Manager: 12.9 SP1
CA Data Protection team will update customer community on its plans around report server capability, in coming weeks.
