CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the CA Support policies we are announcing End of Service (EOS) Plans for multiple releases including CA Identity Manager 12.5 and CA Identity Governance 12.5 (complete list below). We are also announcing a set of updates to the overall product Platform Support Matrix that will be executed over a 12 months period as well (details listed below).
End Of Service Product Releases
This announcement covers EOS for the product and releases listed below (and includes all Service Packs and Cumulative Releases):
- CA Identity Manager 12.5
- CA Identity Governance 12.5
- CA Identity Portal 1.4 and 1.5
- CA Identity Manager Mobile Device Client (iOS and Android)
As of this announcement, support for the EOS product releases is scheduled to be discontinued on March 31, 2017. Once the EOS date is reached, customers can contract with CA for Extended Support for another 12 months. Extended Support will be discontinued on March 31, 2018.
Between now and March 31, 2017, CA will consider requests for critical bug fixes, but will not be releasing new functionality or new certifications for the above product versions. Specific terms of Extended Support contracts are available from CA Support.
Upgrade/Migration Paths
At this time, we encourage you to plan for your migration. Below are the software upgrade options that are or will be available for customers with an active maintenance. They include:

Platform Support Matrix (PSM) Updates
As part of the regular product updates, we are also announcing a set of updates for the Platform Support Matrix. These updates will be executed in two phases:
- Phase 1 includes platform releases that will no longer be supported in the upcoming CA Identity Suite 12.6.8 (and its components), planned for release in April 2016.
- Phase 2 includes additional set of platforms that will no longer be supported in the next release of CA Identity Suite, currently targeted for the end of calendar year 2016.
PSM Update Phase 1
CA Identity Suite 12.6.8 (and its components), targeted for release in April 2016, will not include support for the following platforms:

PSM Update Phase 2
The next release of CA Identity Suite, currently targeted for end of calendar year 2016, will not include support for the platforms listed below. These platforms have either reached the vendors' end of mainstream support or have been significantly declining in terms of broader customer base adoption.

Notes:
- Oracle Solaris and IBM AIX will no longer be supported as Operating Systems for running the CA Identity Suite services. Please note that these platforms will continue to be supported as endpoint via provisioning connectors.
CA Business Intelligence (CABI) Migration to TIBCO® Jaspersoft
CA Identity Suite 12.6.8 will also distribute CABI 6.2 that is based on TIBCO® Jaspersoft. The new CABI 6.s replaces CABI 4.1 (based on SAP BusinessObjects) that was used in previous releases.
