Welcome to the CA Harvest Software Change Manager Plug-in for Eclipse Update Site. Use this site to download the CA Harvest SCM Plug-in for Eclipse versions and then install the plug-in on your workstation. Follow the appropriate steps to install the CA Harvest SCM Plug-in for Eclipse.

Please ensure all the requirements for Eclipse plug-in are available before installation.

CA Harvest SCM V13.0.3 is now certified with Eclipse 4.8 IDE (photon). Harvest plug-in for Eclipse 4.8 can be downloaded from the support page.

Install the CA Harvest SCM Plug-In for Eclipse (4.5, 4.6, and 4.7)

The CA Harvest SCM Plug-In for Eclipse is installed using the Eclipse Update Manager, an Eclipse feature. The Eclipse Update Manager is a built-in plug-in installation and update manager that simplifies the installation process and lets you manage various plug-in instances.

Note: For information about managing your configuration, see the Eclipse help.

From CA Harvest SCM V13 release onwards, dependencies installation are no longer a pre-requisite for Harvest plug-in. You can choose to directly install the Harvest plug-in for Eclipse which includes only the plug-in and the corresponding GEF for your IDE.

Follow these steps:

1. In Eclipse, select Help, Install new software.
   The installation wizard appears.
2. Select the Available Software Sites tab.
3. Click Add.
   The Add Site dialog appears.
4. Provide the name.
5. In the Location field, click the Archive... option, enter the location of the locally downloaded CA Harvest SCM plug-in.
   This points to the CA Harvest SCM Plug-In for Eclipse.
   Note: If the software site is in your local file system but is packaged as a jar or zip file, click Archive... to specify the name of the file.
6. Click OK.
   The CA Harvest SCM plug-in is added to the list of available software sites.
7. Select the Work With drop-down list to select a site to browse its contents.
8. Choose the CA Harvest SCM Eclipse plug-in site.
9. Select the check box next to the current release plug-in version and the corresponding Eclipse IDE version (for ex: 4.5, 4.6, or 4.7), and click next to proceed. The selection against the release will also select the corresponding GEF components for the chosen IDE.
   The Install Details dialog opens listing all the items to be installed.
   Note: If you do not need update site selected always ,Un-check the Contact all update sites during install to find required software check box to avoid online site updates.
10. Click Next.
11. Accept the license agreement to complete the plug-in installation.
12. Click Finish, when prompted to confirm the installation.
    
    Note:
    [a]If any warning appears that software contains unsigned content and if you need to continue with the installation, Choose the option 'Install Anyway'. This warning is related to the third party GEF, zest binaries bundled with the plug-in.
    [b]Another warning appears if you trust these certificates, you need to select and then proceed to click 'Accept selected'.
    
    
13. Click yes, when prompted to restart Eclipse.
14. The CA Harvest SCM Plug-In for Eclipse is installed.

Install the CA Harvest SCM BIRT Reports plug-in for Harvest:

Note: For users who wish to use BIRT Reports need to install BIRT dependencies on top of Harvest plug-in and install the BIRT Reports plug-in for Eclipse.
For detailed instructions, please see the sections listed below
Pre-requisites:

1. CA Harvest SCM Eclipse plug-in installed in a supported Eclipse IDE.
2. Dependencies for the BIRT need to be installed in the Eclipse IDE. Choose the dependencies based on the version of IDE you are using.
   Installation instructions for dependencies are mentioned below. Read the below instructions carefully.

Install the BIRT Plug-in Dependencies (4.5/4.6/4.7):

As a pre-requisite, install the CA Harvest SCM plug-in for Eclipse:

Download the BIRT dependencies from here for Eclipse 4.5
Download the BIRT dependencies from here for Eclipse 4.6
Download the BIRT dependencies from here for Eclipse 4.7

For Eclipse 4.5, you need to use the local option to install the dependencies. Before this task you need to extract the downloaded dependencies to a local folder on your machine.
For Eclipse 4.6 and 4.7- you need to use the archive option to install the dependencies.

Follow these steps:

1. Download the dependencies for your required IDE's (4.5/4.6/4.7) from the support site to your local machine.
2. In Eclipse, select Help, Install new software...
   The Install wizard opens.
3. Select the Available Software Sites link.
4. Click Add...
   The Add Site dialog opens.
5. Provide the name.
6. For Eclipse 4.5: In the Location field, enter the location of the local folder where you have already extracted the dependencies.
   This points to the bundle of dependency files, which are prerequisites for the CA Harvest SCM BIRT Reports Plug-In for Eclipse.
7. For Eclipse 4.6/4.7: In the Location field, enter the location of the archive folder where you have copied the dependencies.
   This points to the bundle of dependency files, which are prerequisites for the CA Harvest SCM BIRT Reports Plug-In for Eclipse
8. Click OK.
9. Select the dependencies from the Work with drop-down list.
   The list of all dependencies display.
10. Select the appropriate check boxes next to the dependencies list and click next to install the dependencies.
11. Click Next.
    The Install Details dialog opens listing all the items to be installed.
12. Click Next.
13. Accept the license and click Finish, when prompted to confirm the installation.
14. Click Yes, when prompted to restart Eclipse.
    The dependencies for the BIRT Plug-in are installed.

Install the CA Harvest SCM BIRT plug-in for Eclipse:

1. In Eclipse, select Help, Install new software...

   Select the CAHarvestSCMV13INR3Reports_plugin_13.0.3.152.zip
   This points to the CA Harvest SCM BIRT reports plug-in.
   Note: If the software site is in your local file system but is packaged as a jar or zip file, click Archive... to specify the name of the file.
6. Click OK.
   The CA Harvest SCM plug-in for Version 13.0.3 is added to the list of available software sites.
7. Select the Work With drop-down list to select a site to browse its contents
8. Select the BIRT plug-in option.
9. Select the check box next to the Version 13.0.3 plug-in version, and click Next to proceed.
   The Install Details dialog opens listing all the items to be installed.
   Note: Un-check the Contact all update sites during install to find required software check box to avoid online site updates.
10. Click Next.
11. Accept the license agreement to complete the plug-in installation.
12. Click Finish, when prompted to confirm the installation.
13. Click Yes, when prompted to restart Eclipse.

The CA Harvest SCM BIRT Report Plug-In is installed and the BIRT reports show up under the CA Harvest SCM menu.
