Subject: End of Service Announcement for CA Application Performance Management 9.0.0-9.0.8, CA Introscope 9.0.0-9.0.8, and CA Customer Experience Manager (CEM) 5.0

CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with our CA Support Policy and Terms (https://support.ca.com/), please consider this letter your written notification that we are discontinuing support for CA Application Performance Management (APM) r9.0 beginning March 1, 2016. The following releases are affected: CA APM 9.0.0-9.0.8, CA Introscope 9.0.0-9.0.8, and CA Customer Experience Manager (CEM) 5.0. This will allow our Development organization to more effectively focus its resources on and add value to the next release of CA Application Performance Management.

At this time, we encourage you to plan for the migration to CA Application Performance Management r9.7 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the latest new features and enhancements this release has to offer:

Highlights of version CA APM r9.7 include:

  • The augmentation of existing Smart Instrumentation capabilities with actionable information by automatically monitoring the right application components "at the right time," when transactions are too slow, throwing errors or exceptions, etc. CA APM r9.7 simplifies deployment and configuration by providing customers with automatically triggered deep transaction-tracing capabilities that do not require custom instrumentation.
  • We've enhanced Customer Experience Manager (CEM) real-time transaction monitoring by user groups and updated the Transaction Impact Monitor (TIM) for high-performance multiprocessing of end-user transactions.
  • CA APM r9.7 also includes full java 8 support and an all-new PHP agent.
  • For a full list of CA APM r9.7 enhancements, visit the all-new collaborative product documentation site at http://wiki.ca.com/.
