- The machine is compatible with the x86, IA64 or x64 processor.
- You are logged on with administrative privileges.

Actions performed by the update utility
Updated drivers are provided in the form of a self installing executable package. Each package contains all drivers available for the processor type. When the executable is run, it will determine the appropriate drivers to install based on the operating system and antivirus product detected.
The utility will update the INO_FLTR.SYS and INO_FLPY.SYS files located in the WINNTSYSTEM32DRIVERS directory. A backup of the existing files are placed into the INOCULANBACKUP directory.
If the drivers were disabled or set to start manually, this utility will reset the INO_FLTR.SYS driver to start automatically, and the INO_FLPY.SYS to start at boot time. These are the default settings as installed by the application.
