Subject: End-of-Life announcement for Layer7 API Gateway AMI and VHD
Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In order to focus our development efforts and to help our customer base achieve their strategic business initiatives, we are investing our resources in new technology and software and will be dropping support on Layer7 API Gateway AMI and VHD. In accordance with our Broadcom Maintenance Policy Handbook, please consider this email your written notification of this End of Life. This means that Layer7 API Gateway AMI and VHD will no longer be provided beginning June 30, 2024. API Gateway 10.1 will be the last release for these form factors. You can still use and apply CR patches until EOL date.
You must migrate your Layer7 API Gateway AMI instances and Azure Instances to Software or Container Gateways. It is advised that you should reach out to your Broadcom account team to determine how your licenses can be converted and renewed.
In order to assist you with your planning, we are offering the following to help you migrate your Layer7 API Gateway AMI and VHD instances to Container Gateway that can be deployed to AWS and Azure Container platforms:
- Documentation to help prepare you for migrating to Software or Container Gateways.
- Qualified local Broadcom Partners are also able to assist in migrating the API Gateway AMIs and VHDs, including analysis of the current system, preparation for the migration, testing, and performing the migration itself.
Regards,
Layer7 API Management Product Team
