An arbitrary file read vulnerability in vRealize Operations was privately reported to VMware. Updates are available to remediate this vulnerability in affected VMware products.
3. Arbitrary File Read Vulnerability (CVE-2022-31682)
Description
VMware vRealize Operations contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability. VMware has evaluated the severity of this issue to be in the Moderate severity range with a maximum CVSSv3 base score of 4.9.
Known Attack Vectors
A malicious actor with administrative privileges may be able to read arbitrary files containing sensitive data.
Resolution
To remediate CVE-2022-31682, apply the patches listed in the 'Fixed Version' column of the 'Resolution Matrix' found below.
