Today, we are pleased to announce that SystemEDGE 6.4 is now available.

Installation/Upgrade Information

The following links provide the necessary information required to install or upgrade SystemEDGE 6.4:

At this time, we encourage you to plan for an upgrade to Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent 6.4, so that you can take full advantage of the features and enhancements this release has to offer. To make your upgrade to Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent 6.3 or later as straightforward as possible, Broadcom offers the following:

  • The latest supported version of Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent at no charge, as long as you have an active maintenance contract for SystemEDGE.
  • Documentation to help you prepare for and perform your upgrade to the latest supported version of Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent. For more information, see the Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent 6.4 documentation.
  • Broadcom Support Upgrade-Related Support Offerings
    • Pre-Event Review - Subject matter experts (SMEs) will review your written upgrade plans in detail to help ensure a smooth and successful experience. If you do not have a written upgrade plan, the Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent Support and Development team can provide you with a runbook and share best practices, and then review your plan once it is complete. For more information about how to set up a Pre-Event Review with a SME, review the "How to Request a Hot Site and Pre-Upgrade Review for my product deployment/product upgrade?" Knowledge Base article.
    • Support Hot Site - Provides the Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent Support team advance notice of your event. This alerts the Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent Support and Development team to be on the lookout for any potential severity-upgrade-related issues during this window. Your written upgrade plan is stored in the Hot Site so that our team has visibility and access into your upgrade plans, should you open a severity-upgrade-related Support case.
  • Upgrade assistance from qualified local Broadcom partners. To find a list of partners in your area, see https://expert.broadcom.com/.

End of Service Announcements

In keeping with evolving software industry practice, SystemEDGE Product Management now communicates the End of Service date for each release at the time of release. This change allows you greater flexibility in your upgrade planning process.

Broadcom is continually working to improve our software to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the Broadcom Support Policies, please consider this email your written notification that we will discontinue support for the following Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent versions on the Effective Dates of End of Service listed below. After the Effective Dates of End of Service Broadcom will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term.
