Subject: General Availability Announcement for Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3 RU4

Today, we are pleased to announce that Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3 RU4 is now available. These updates are available to all Symantec Endpoint customers who are using Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), Symantec Protection Suite (SPS), Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) Enterprise, or SES Complete. Symantec Security Cloud customers can also benefit from the single Symantec Endpoint Protection client that enables web filtering and content analysis for web applications.
New features for SEP 14.3 RU4 include:
- Rebootless upgrades for the Symantec Endpoint Protection client. You do not need to restart after you upgrade from the 14.3 RU3 client with the following exceptions.
- Enhanced ransomware protection using behavioral rules to prevent damage to targeted file types as well as large volume writes.
- Detection of strains of malware or malicious files by creating YARA rules that look for certain characteristics within the files.
- Improved client performance and reduced windows client size by 40 MB by optimizing the hardening engines on the client.
- Enhanced SEP and WSS integration that includes support for bypass redirection per executable and other performance improvements.
