Subject: General Availability Announcement for Symantec Advanced Authentication Service Pack 9.1.03
On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that Symantec Advanced Authentication Service Pack 9.1.03 is now available.
Symantec Advanced Authentication Service Pack 9.1.03 includes:
1. Support for Neustar v7 Data Format
Beginning April 1st, 2022, the Neustar (formerly Quova) data will be available in format v7, and the existing v6 format will no longer be updated. Symantec Advanced Authentication 9.1 is updated to accept the latest Neustar Quova v7 data format.
2. Enabling Non-reversible Passwords
This release adds non-reversible passwords to provide greater security of the password credential. By default, Advanced Authentication uses encryption to protect the password credential. With this release, Advanced Authentication lets you create a non-reversible password for the credential.
3. Restricting Reports to Single User Information
Previously, reports returned information for all users by default. For security purposes, and to reduce the report-generation workload, this release of Advanced Authentication adds the ability to restrict information returned in reports to a single user. This release adds a mandatory User Name field to the report generation page. The report only returns information for the user whose name the administrator enters in this field.
4. Support for AWS Elastic File System (EFS)
Advanced Authentication 9.1 SP3 is qualified on the AWS Elastic File System (EFS).
5. Updated Library and Platform Support
Advanced Authentication 9.1 is updated to support the following new libraries and platforms:
-
- Certified on Xcode 12 and the XCFramework
- Apple M1 chip support for Mobile Authenticator iOS SDK
6. Consolidated Issue Fixes
This release contains defect and vulnerability fixes found since the last release. For the complete list of fixed issues please refer to the documentation.
