Subject: General Availability Announcement for NetOps 23.3

We are pleased to announce Network Management by Broadcom, a market leading solution that encompasses the latest features and capabilities for DX NetOps 23.3 and AppNeta.

This release brings enhancements designed to provide critical support for successful network transformation, enabling an all-inclusive Network Operation Center (NOC). The solution covers legacy and modern networks, but also reaches beyond the enterprise borders to Cloud, SaaS, and Sites.

Key Enhancements

Key enhancements in this release include:

  • Cloud Reachability Enhancements in AppNeta
    • Availability of global monitoring targets (GMTs) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Support to deploy containerized monitoring points in GCP 
    • Enhancements for easier deployment of monitoring points (MPs) at the enterprise edge through the interoperability of running it in Arista EOS routers and switches
    • For enterprises with large scale edges, AppNeta can now support 10K monitoring points for a given enterprise tenant
  • Experience-Driven NetOps
    • Alarm noise reduction of AppNeta path events and alarms using Event Condition Correlation
    • Monitoring of AppNeta monitoring points (MPs )as a network device
  • Improvements in Wi-Fi monitoring
    • Ability to configure Event conditions based on percentage of deviation from baseline for SDN Wireless Controllers and Access Points, and visualize baseline Green Highways for the certain Wi-Fi metrics
    • Enhanced Wi-Fi monitoring for Cisco DNAC
  • Support for Cisco Meraki Environmental Sensors
  • Security related improvements
    • Unified Documentation for Securing DX NetOps: To provide cohesive and prescriptive end-to-end securing instructions, documentation to secure DX NetOps has been unified, and is now part of the DX NetOps documentation under the Secure DX NetOps section.
    • Updates to 3rd party software to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Updates to the Cisco Meraki and Cisco DNAC plug-ins
  • Enhancements in NetOps Portal
    • Support for Quick Discovery of devices using the SNMPv3 protocol
    • Improved logging to debug discovery
    • Alarm noise reduction by correlating multiple path alarms associated with a common endpoint (source or destination)
  • Enhancements to DX NetOps Fault Management
    • Improved inventory reconciliation between Spectrum and NetOps Virtual Network Assurance
    • Enhanced Monitoring of MLS
    • SpectrumInsideView on FIPS-Enabled RHEL 8
    • Updates to CORBA Self-Signed Certificates
    • Enhancements to my-spectrum.cnf for a seamless upgrade experience for Spectrum

Features Available for Early Access for Select Customers

In Early Access, our focus is to verify functionality and gather feedback from a limited set of customers. If you are interested in trying out any of the following capabilities, contact your local account representative for more information.

  • Zero Touch Administration - DX NetOps automated upgrade of DX NetOps Performance Management and DX NetOps Fault Management to reduce maintenance cost in the NOC*
  • Volatility Analytics - A solution to provide deeper insights via network volatility to gauge time to issues
  • Customer Experience Center - A first to market environment for multi-vendor and customer collaboration to advance the NOC for SD-WAN assurance

Designated Weekend Upgrade Program

To assist with the success of a production upgrade, register early for the Designated Weekend Upgrade Program for DX NetOps. With this program, the NetOps Support team is staffed on designated weekends to provide you with upgrade-related support for all severity issues, as well as to provide you with a detailed pre-upgrade review prior to that weekend. Upcoming Designated Weekend Upgrade Program for DX NetOps dates are:

  • November 4th and 5th

If you are unable to attend an upcoming designated weekend upgrade, open a pre-upgrade review case where a NetOps Support expert will review your upgrade plans prior to your upgrade implementation date.
