Subject: General Availability Announcement for Continuous Delivery Director 8.6.1
On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that Continuous Delivery Director 8.6.1 is now available.
New features for Continuous Delivery Director 8.6.1 include:
- Users Roles and Permissions Auditing Report - This report provides a list of all the users with their role in every project and can be used for auditing the project access. You can execute the report only via a REST API. Since this report fetches information from all projects, only users with Administrator access can execute this report.
- Associate Groups with New Projects - To streamline the automation of onboarding a new project, the API that links user groups to a project (/cdd/administration/<Tenant ID>/v1/projects/<project Id>/parties) has been enhanced to accept any administrator API key, eliminating the need for a dedicated project-specific API key.
- Share your releases with all the users in the Project - Up until now, only release members could view the release information, which made it difficult to share information across the project members.
To simplify the release sharing, a new user permission was added that allows viewing all the releases in the project (in read-only mode), as if the users were assigned to the release as members.
As a result of this change, for the authorized users the “RELEASES'' will list all the project releases. To ease on finding the relevant releases, the “Show Releases” filter now includes three view options - “All Releases”, “Releases I own or Member of”, and “Only Releases I own”. - Set Expiration Dates for API Keys - A new property allows administrators to enforce expiration dates on API keys and define the expiration period for added security. For more information, refer to the API Key Properties section under Customize Product Settings.
- New CDD Health Check Endpoint - A new endpoint has been added to monitor CDD's health without overloading the system with redundant sessions or log entries. For more information, see CDD Health Check.
- Add Reference to Phase/Task DSL in a Release DSL File - You can create dynamic DSL templates and parameterize attributes of reference objects, enabling the generation of multiple release variations from a single release template. For more information, see Add Reference to Phase/Task DSL in a Release DSL File section under Pipelines as Code.
- New API for Creating SAML Groups - To streamline user group onboarding, administrators can now create SAML groups using a REST API, eliminating the need to wait for the first group user to log in.
