Subject:  General Availability Announcement for AutoSys Workload Automation 24.1.00

On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that AutoSys Workload Automation and Workload Automation System Agent 24.1.00 are now available.

New feature highlights for AutoSys Workload Automation 24.1.00 include:

Reducing Risk

More Secure Communications – To help customers meet ever increasing security requirements, we are adding the option to use TLS 1.3 for agent communication.  By introducing an optional HTTPS listener your communication is encrypted to meet your compliance needs.

Support for Java 21 – AutoSys 24.1 is taking advantage of newer libraries that increase security and reduce vulnerabilities.

Single Sign On for the Web UI - The Web UI will now offer additional support for SSO with SAML 2.0 with POST Binding.  This will allow you to tie your login to an IdP that supports SAML with POST or the existing SAML with Artifact Binding support.  If your IdP is configured for MFA, you will get that benefit with no additional configuration required.  We support both IdP and SP (Service Provider) initiated methods.

SAML 2.0 support for REST API - The REST API calls will now support authentication using SAML 2.0 as well as Basic authentication if desired,  This allows a more secure method of authentication and removes the need to manage passwords to use the REST API and makes using API gateways easier.

Business Agility

Easy Deployment of containerized Agents - The agent has been updated to make it easier to deploy in a container such as Kubernetes and Openshift, both on premise and on cloud vendors such as AWS, GCP and Azure.  Additional logging options and examples showing how to deploy in various environments will make deploying a single image not only multiple times in a single environment, but also make promoting from test to production faster with less risk.

Addition of New Job Types - Recently published dynamic job types are now included when you install agents and available to define.  These include S3 (AWS, GCP and IBM), Airflow (AWS, GCP, Azure and Apache), Azure Data Factory and updates to the Kubernetes and Openshift jobs with new capabilities.

Lower Operational Cost

New Monitoring experience – The ‘Monitor’ feature was started with V24 and released in a preview mode to allow customers to provide feedback.  The feature is now complete and is ready for your customers to start using. This new improved Monitoring experience reduces the time to MTTR for failed jobs by streamlining the process.  From combining the capabilities of two screens into a single journey.  Allowing you to find differences in logs between different job runs as well as a ‘Find’, ‘Copy to Clipboard’ and ‘Download’ abilities if additional analysis is required or if you want to send a log or attach it to a support ticket.

24.1 System Agent

AWS Graviton Support – The 24.1 Agent now includes an ARM version to support customers that are looking to run workloads on more cost-efficient hardware on AWS.

RHEL 10 Support – The 24.1 Agent has been certified to run on RHEL 10
