Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of Rally Anywhere 1.7, released on August 13th, 2026. This release introduces a suite of powerful new features and enhancements designed to improve visibility, deliver predictive project insights, enhance security and governance, and optimize team and portfolio workflows.

Custom Views and Widgets: Drive Informed Decisions with Deeper Insights

Leverage powerful new visualization and customization capabilities across your custom views and dashboards.

• Query Counter Widget: Author formatted content (rich text) with embedded live query counts and context variables using simple substitution syntax. Includes interactive drilldown capabilities to inspect underlying artifact lists directly.
• Print Cards from Custom List Widget: Easily generate and print physical story and task cards directly from a Custom List widget for physical Scrum or Kanban board management.
• Project Substitutions for Custom Views: Pull dynamic Project scope attributes (ObjectID, _ref, Name) into rich text content or individual widget queries automatically.
• Color Options for Charts: Define custom palette colors and display ordering for Bar/Column Chart and Pie Chart widgets via a new Color Options configuration tab.
• Saved Views Conversion: Enhanced conversion utilities now automatically convert saved views on legacy custom pages when transitioning Custom Boards and Custom Lists to Custom Views.

Milestone Delivery Confidence & Tracking

• Milestone Delivery Confidence Page & Widget: Leverage Monte Carlo simulations analyzing current progress against historical delivery patterns to assess target date feasibility and identify work items at risk.

Capacity Plan Alignment Enhancements

• Align capacity plans directly against custom fields of the portfolio item within the Alignment tab.

Administration, Governance, & Security Updates

• API Key & OAuth Permission Enhancements: Subscription administrators can now limit API Key and OAuth Client creation to specific lists of allowed users, alongside batch-deletion and filtering capabilities on the management pages.
• OAuth Client Token Lifecycle Enhancement: Updated authentication lifecycle management for OAuth client tokens, ensuring improved alignment with enterprise security standards.
• X-Request-Host HTTP Header Validation: Prevents host-header-injection vulnerabilities by validating host headers against a configurable allowlist (ALM_REQUEST_HOST_ALLOWLIST).

Important: Deployment Notes & Breaking Changes

• License File Format Change: Rally Anywhere 1.7 introduces a new license format. Customers must request a new license by submitting a support case with the case type of “Global Customer Assistance”. The new license must be uploaded post-upgrade to prevent login failure. Refer to the Rally Anywhere 1.7 release notes. 
• Several other administrative configuration changes introduced as part upgrading to  Rally Anywhere 1.7.
