Subject: General Availability Announcement for AutoSys Workload Automation 24.2.00
On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that AutoSys Workload Automation 24.2.00 is now available.
New feature highlights for AutoSys Workload Automation 24.2.00 include:
Business Continuity
Expand Help Desk Integration to include non-Job Alarms – To decrease the time it takes to create a helpdesk ticket for critical alerts related to the health of the AutoSys landscape, we have increased the scope of the alarm types that can be handled by help desk integration. Removing the middleman like a log scraper and enabling more enrichment than is available via an SNMP trap or from a log message. The expanded integration can also attach the relevant scheduler log.
Persist Missed Help Desk Requests - Web UI If the help desk ticket cannot be opened at the time of the alert, AutoSys will store the information into the database and when the help desk is available again, it will open the ticket. This helps prevent missing alerts to meet your compliance requirements and help your application teams complete their workflows.
Enhanced Security – Granular security entitlements allow you to fine tune who has access to sensitive data. In this release we have added two new resource classes to define who has access to different blob types as well as defining cross instance dependencies. The blob security includes job blobs, email and help desk templates.
Database certifications - AutoSys r24.2 is certified and fully compatible with the following platform and database versions.
- PostgreSQL 18
- Sybase 16.1
- Oracle 26ai
UI Modernization
Addition of New Job Types- Recently published dynamic job types are now included when you install agents and available to define. These include SAP Application jobs and Databricks.
Increased Self-Service
User Secrets – As the number of different job types and the authentication methods used by those services increase, requiring CLI access and in many cases having to involve the administrators in defining or updating secrets causes delays and could jeopardize security. To decrease delays and increase security, we have added the ability for application team members to add and maintain users and security profiles. These objects are already under EEM control and will enforce existing policy.
Notification Templates – Like the secrets, the only way you could create and maintain email and helpdesk templates was using the CLI. We have added the ability to create and maintain these objects within the UI. The new blob security will control who has access to these objects.
V24.2 System Agent
OS Details – The 24.2 Agent now reports the operating system detail for the scheduler to report on.
Silent Installs – The additional business agents now support a silent install.
Certifications – The 24.2 agent is certified and fully compatible with the following:
- SAP jCO 3.1.13
- IBM i 7.6
