On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that Automic Automation V26.0.0 is now available.
Automic Automation V26.0.0 delivers a governed, vendor-agnostic environment for orchestrating Agentic AI and modern DataOps workloads across hybrid cloud infrastructures.
Historically, enterprise automation has been constrained by IT bottlenecks, requiring specialized skills to deploy complex workflows. Automic Automation V26.0.0 removes these technical barriers to entry. By utilizing an Intelligent Control Plane, the platform provides the rigorous, policy-bounded framework needed for a broader set of non-expert Automation Builders to safely design and execute operational work without compromising mission-critical stability.
At a fundamental level, Automic Automation V26.0.0 places AI at the foundation of the platform so users can do the practical work faster—generating scripts and workflows, analyzing jobs, understanding failures, and accelerating troubleshooting.
Highlight features for Automic Automation V26.0.0 include:
AI-Driven Orchestration and Development
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) Client & Server: Establishes a standardized, bi-directional communication channel between Automic and external LLMs. This allows AI models to trigger Automic actions (e.g., "Restart this job") and allows Automic to query AI models for decision logic.
- AI Job: A new, dedicated job type that wraps AI reasoning into a governable object. This enables the orchestration of multiple independent AI agents alongside deterministic workflows, maintaining full audit trails and security controls.
- AI Assistant: Significantly reduces Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR). Unlike generic chatbots, this embedded assistant accesses specific error contexts and documentation to perform immediate root-cause analysis and suggest fixes for job failures. by leveraging the Automic MCP Server, the AI Assistant enables the user to read, write and access information from Automic using natural language.
- AI Augmented Workflow Creation: Accelerates the "Idea-to-Automation" lifecycle by generating functional workflows from natural language descriptions. This democratizes design, allowing business analysts to draft complex flows without deep technical expertise.
- Code Assist: Increases developer efficiency by providing in-platform, AI-driven script generation, code completion, and logic optimization, significantly reducing the learning curve for new engineers.
Core Platform Modernization and Developer Experience
- Native Python Execution: Eliminates the friction of proprietary scripting by providing a truly seamless, out-of-the-box Python execution environment. Featuring dedicated Windows, Unix, and Generic Python job types, this allows Data Engineers to natively execute machine learning and complex data pipelines directly within Automic, perfectly complementing the new AI-driven Code Assist.
- Agentless Experience: Containerized agents provide enables automation builders to focus on their automation use case, without having to worry about deploying and configuring agents. This simplifies cloud-to-cloud use cases and drastically reduces the infrastructure overhead of maintaining purely cloud-based workflows. For Automic SaaS subscribers using SAP RISE this means hosting an SAP agent outside of Automic SaaS is no longer required.
- User Experience Modernization: Introduces a visual refresh that aligns Automic with the broader Broadcom software portfolio, improving accessibility and reducing visual fatigue for operators managing high-volume environments.
- SAP Enhancements: Expands Automic's alignment with SAP's "Clean Core" strategy by introducing new job types (application jobs) and advanced integrations to support SAP RISE/GROW and self-managed cloud deployments.
- Expanded REST API and AWI Consolidation: Streamlines release lifecycles and Automic operations by migrating functionality previously requiring external utilities (e.g. loading/unloading Transport Cases, DB maintenance, etc.) directly into the Automic Web Interface (AWI) and REST API.
- API Surface Expansion and Extended Authentication Options: Significantly expands REST API endpoints for critical administrative tasks (e.g., mass updates, calendar management) while elevating the enterprise security posture through the introduction of Bearer Token and OAuth 2.0 support.
- Zero Downtime Upgrade (ZDU) Optimization: Drawn from Automic SaaS operational experience, V26 introduces significant backend improvements to the ZDU process, streamlining the upgrade path from V24 to V26 and directly reducing the operational cost of staying current.
