Announcing General Availability (GA) of Symantec Data Center Security 6.10.1 Windows Agent
We are pleased to announce General Availability of Symantec Data Center Security 6.10.1 Windows Agent on February 17, 2026.
Data Center Security Server Advanced now supports both managed and unmanaged deployments of windows agent, delivering Symantec’s industry-proven Host Intrusion Detection, File Integrity Monitoring, and comprehensive host and application hardening.
DCS Server Advanced Windows Agent 6.10.1 contains the following enhancements:
- Standalone Mode or the Managed Mode of Agent Installation
Customers can now deploy the DCS:SA Windows Agent 6.10.1 in Standalone mode, giving them greater flexibility and control. Plus, the ability to enable the Prevention (IPS) policy in standalone mode ensures powerful, real-time threat protection—no centralized management required.
- Applying the Prevention (IPS) Policy using the Agent Config Tool on the Standalone Agent
Experience greater control and assurance with the enhanced DCS Windows Agent Configuration Tool. Administrators can now deploy hardening policies to Standalone Windows Agent 6.10.1 and receive precise return codes to quickly verify successful policy enforcement.
- Importing XML file list through ImportFileList extension function
The DCS IPS policy’s ImportFileList function now enables bulk import of XML or TXT files containing multi-value rules across multiple resources. Protect file paths, program paths, and registry keys in a single, streamlined action—reducing complexity while strengthening defense.
