New features for Service Virtualization 10.9 include:
- Automated VSE Scaling in Kubernetes/Openshift - DevTest version 10.9 introduces Kubernetes-based automation for DevTest Virtual Service Environment, supporting dynamic scaling and centralized monitoring. This enhancement reduces operational overhead and ensures high availability of virtual services under varying load conditions.
- Enhanced Logging Capabilities - DevTest Solutions introduces significant enhancements to its logging capabilities, especially for replicated environments. To enable precise troubleshooting, log files for key components are now uniquely identified by incorporating the hostname into the log file name. Logs are consistently organized under a new, formalized structure within the $(DEVTEST_HOME)/logs/ directory, segmented into component-specific subfolders. This update streamlines log management, providing enhanced visibility and ease of investigation for individual replicas, thereby significantly improving diagnostics and operational efficiency.
- Enhanced Virtual Service Catalog User Interface - Virtual Service Catalog has been enhanced for better usability and consistency. Key updates include a new better look with new UI, a new, easier-to-read application.properties file (with automatic migration), simplified property formats, clearer custom port configuration, improved logging options for detailed insights, and a streamlined process for updating your IAM instance URL.
