Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of Rally Anywhere 1.3, packed with powerful new features and improvements designed to boost your teams’ efficiency and collaboration. This release introduces robust enhancements to Custom Views and Widgets, support for parenting Defects to Portfolio Items providing rollup visibility of work, and Lock down Work Rules for Frictionless Cost Accounting, providing you with even greater control and insight into your teams’ work.

Key Highlights:

• Custom View Enhancements: Cumulative Flow and Dependency Widgets added. Multiple user experience improvements were added to the HTML and Bar/Column Chart Widgets.
• Parenting Defects to Portfolio Items: Defects can now be attached directly to a Feature (or lowest level Portfolio Item) without needing a User Story as an intermediary. View defects as Children artifacts and new rollup calculations now include Defects so that you can easily see a complete picture of your progress. 
• Lock Down Work Rules for Portfolio Items: New rule type that lets you lock Portfolio items and their children when the conditions that are defined by the work rule are met. This prevents any additions or removals, and allows you to enforce governance and prevent material changes of work items that are defined under the Portfolio item.
• Frictionless Cost Accounting: Use the new Lock down work rules on Portfolio items and the associated work items that are rolled up and reported in Clarity timesheets. This promotes alignment between financial data and project data, and enforces data integrity on recorded expenses for software capitalization.
• Flow Metrics Charts on Portfolio Kanban page: Use Throughput and Work In Progress charts to visualize the progress of Portfolio level items in your subscription.
• Administration and Configuration Enhancements: New configuration parameters and options to improve the manageability of Rally Anywhere.
