Subject:  General Availability Announcement for ValueOps ConnectALL Release 3.5

On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that ValueOps ConnectALL Release 3.5.0 is now available for On-Premise and SaaS customers. 

New features for ValueOps ConnectALL 3.5 include: 

Support of Comment Author in Body per automation

Extended the support of Including Comment Authors in the body of the Comment section for SaaS tenants.

  • Syncs the comment author information in the comment body of the destination application.
  • “Comment in Author in body” will be supported by ConnectALL for On-premise, SaaS, Universal Adapter that allows comment synchronization.
  • From ConnectALL 3.5, provided an ability to configure “Include Author Name in Comment” within the Automation to have ConnectALL application sync the comment author information as comment body to the destination applications.
  • Applying this option will enable Tenant in SaaS to use “Include Author Name in Comment” functionality.
  • This option will eliminate the need of having config property in ConnectALL to enable & use the feature.
  • “Include Author Name in Comment” option is Automation specific and no more ConnectALL instance-specific.

Synchronize Inline Attachment - Rally & Clarity

For Clarity OOTB Adapter extended the support to synchronize Inline Attachment from an RTF field of Clarity to an RTF field of Rally.

  • ConnectALL allows synchronizing the inline attachments added to any of the RTF fields of Clarity & Rally V2 applications, either one-way & bidirectional
  • Supports multiple attachments and all supported formats of Clarity & Rally. Format type depends on the formats allowed by the end system.
  • Order of the attachments synced will be the same between the source & target systems
  • Size of the attachments on sync depends on the size allowed by the end system.

 

Orphans Management Support for ServiceNow and Rally

  • Identify and manage unpaired records synchronized via ConnectALL
  • Orphans/Unpaired management allows tool admin(s) to set any value to any fields of orphans records
  • Clear and set field Supported.
  • Supported for ServiceNow and Rally
  • Processed last 3 months worth of records every 24 hours automatically
  • Include manual triggering (last hour)

Extended Field Management

  • One-to-Many Field Mapping
    • Allows mapping one field to multiple destinations
    • Show fields used multiple times from the field list
    • Supported for all field types and all adapters
    • Remove the need for some Business scripts

Insights Adapter 2.0 Enhancements

  • Added support for VSM Product and VSM Component as new entity types, completing support for all entities in the VSM data model to enable the creation and maintenance of the Insights product structure from an external source, such as a Clarity Investment hierarchy
  • Adds tree selection for product and component value mapping
    • Tree structure based on the product tree structure defined in Insights
    • For product, shows the entire product tree
    • For component, shows the entire product tree, including branches with leaf components, and shows the same components as leaf nodes on each branch where they are associated
  • Added Issue Linking and Translate Record ID support to establish relationships between Insights entities

Rally Adapter Enhancements

  • New entity support: Test folders /Test Sets
    • Completes our support for Rally test-related entities
    • Works with other adapters (e.g. ALM, Tosca) that support a similar test step model
  • Delete Issue Links
    • Enforce dependencies deletion to keep data up to date in synchronized solutions
    • Include a toggle to enable/disable
    • Supported for Rally adapter / Insights 2.0 adapter with Jira

Installer Update

  • Support for Postgres Only in the Installer (UI)
  • Continue supporting MySQL, MSSQL, and ORACLE via the Silent Installer

Flat File Adapter (Beta)

  • Needed adapter when a customer doesn’t allow API access
  • Consumes files from the sFTP folder
  • Support csv files
  • Consume New rows inserted and updated values in processed rows
  • Support multiple files in a directory

UX Improvements

  • New ValueOps ConnectALL Theme to Align with Broadcom Mineral Theme
  • Clear divider for Field Mapping Columns
    • Introduced column dividers on field mapping
    • Can easily identify the Column separator to move

Customer Voice:

  • Universal Adapter - The Groovy Spec Transformation Encounters Failure Despite Proper Spec Configurations.
  • Fix Business Script: Skip On Failure Option is not working
  • Disable Save Mappings in the Value Mapping when import is used
  • Activity Monitor fails to display the recent activity after the upgrade.
  • Sync failed for Cloud Jira Worklog to Clarity Timesheet when Automatic User Mapping was enabled.
  • Sync failure for Sprints between Jira to Jira when synced between ​​Kanban and Scrum boards of the projects.
  • Rally Formatted ID is changing when the Project is changed.
  • Issue linking is not happening from Jira to Rally V2 without value mapping, and records are failing
  • Editing Connection Requires Reentering API Key
  • Unable to configure issue link when PortfolioItem/Feature has been renamed
  • New Rally adapter not picking up work items from Rally in high-volume workspaces with dozens of projects
  • Fixed the sync failure for the group when the group name has more than 1 underscore in the SaaS license.
  • Unable to sync issues to ALM with hard-coded parent folders and issue linking enabled
  • Parent Mapping not working for JIRA entries below Epic and sub-tasks for parents
  • Addressed the File path traversal on the SSL certificate key store and key manager password
  • Skipped changes in Rally when adding/deleting multiple issue links due to concurrency conflicts

for your product at Tech Docs. If you are a SaaS customer, your environment will be automatically upgraded to the new release at a scheduled time following the 3.5 GA release date.
