As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that Clarity Release 16.2.0 is now available for On-Premise and SaaS customers.

New features for Clarity Release 16.2.0 include:

 Top-Down Planning

• Roadmaps
  • Added support to create Roadmap Groups (e.g., create a Roadmap of Roadmaps) *
• Hierarchies
  • Added the Timeline layout to manage Tasks across multiple investments
  • Added the Board layout supporting out-of-the-box & custom Sub-Objects (e.g., Risks, Issues, Changes, Staff, etc.)
  • Increased the limit (from 500) to 3,000 investments in a single hierarchy (except for SQL Server environments)
• Plans in Workforce Modeling (BETA)
  • Added an expandable tree layout to visualize parent/child relationships in the Plans Workspace
  • Added support to Update Plan Structure from OBS, with delta visibility into the Summary of OBS Changes and Preview of the Plan Structure
  • Enhanced versioning for Investment OBS Plans
  • Parent level Plans include child Investment & Staff rollup information
  • Improved Plan attribute configuration & administration

 Transforming Investment Management

• Introducing Timesheet validation rules * (BETA)
• Ability to copy Tasks within an investment using a mouse right-click action *
• Added the Timeline layout to the Tasks Workspace *
• Added the "Banner Color" attribute to the Investment object

Reinventing Resource Management

• Process/workflow enabled the Resource object *
• Added support for Financial attributes (view only) on the Resource object (e.g., Financially Active, Department, Location, Transaction Class, Resource Class, Vendor, etc.)
• Evolution to Perpetual Teams
  • Calculate team member's availability based on the per-period allocations to the Team Investment *
• Augmented Audit capabilities
  • Ensure the configured unit of measure is displayed for Old and New Values: Assignment ETC, Assignment Actuals, and Roadmap Item Capacity
  • Added support for per-period metrics on the Assignment object: ETC, Actuals, ETC Cost, and Actual Cost
  • Introduced a “refresh” banner to indicate updated Subtotals are being retrieved in group by mode

• Main navigation menu improvements *

This feature is provided “AS IS, WITH NO WARRANTIES.” Broadcom does not guarantee the availability of this beta feature, and any outages or downtime of the beta feature will not count towards service credits pursuant to Broadcom’s service level agreement. There is no guarantee, representation, or obligation that the beta feature will ever be made generally available in future releases of the product.

If you are an On-Premise customer, you can download your copy of Clarity Release 16.2.0 online at Broadcom Support, where you can also utilize Broadcom’s case management system. To install your product, follow the installation procedures for your product at Tech Docs. If you are a SaaS customer, your environment will be automatically upgraded to the new release at a scheduled time following the 16.2.0 GA release date. NOTE ABOUT THE “FINANCIAL PLANS” MODULE: Broadcom is announcing the deprecation of the Project Financial Plans module, and is scheduled to be removed in the May 2024 release (16.2.2). The Project Financial Plans module will no longer be enhanced, and maintenance and technical support will be discontinued effective May 20, 2024. Customers should use the Project Financials module in lieu of this functionality.

END OF SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: In keeping with evolving software industry practice, Clarity Product Management now communicates the End date for each release at the time of release. This change allows customers greater flexibility in your upgrade planning process. In accordance with the Broadcom Service/End of Life Policy within the “Working with CA Support” guide available at Broadcom Support Online, please consider this communication your written notification that support for Clarity Release 16.2.0, all patch levels, all languages, will be discontinued as of November 30, 2026.
