Subject: General Availability Announcement for DX Application Performance Management (DX APM) release 23.3
On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software solutions.
Today, we are pleased to announce the General Availability of DX Application Performance Management (DX APM) release 23.3 which includes the latest Application Performance Management and App Experience Analytics releases. This release includes enhancements that extend product capabilities, and usability and security. Highlights include:
- Export and Import Management Modules: You can now export the Management Modules in .jar file format and also import an existing Management Modules as a .jar file.
- Object Reference Filtering in Management Modules: Now you can click any object's value in the Object References table on the Management Module page. It redirects you to the filtered view of the selected object reference and the specific management module from which you clicked.
- ACC, Unified User Interface: The user interface of ACC is redesigned to unify it with the Application Performance Management user interface.
- Live Metric Count in Metric Tree: If you select an agent or a subfolder in the metric tree and are in live mode, select the Live Metric Only checkbox to see the number of live metrics only that is, the metrics the agent is reporting right now.
- ACC Pane to Adjust Resizing of Browser Window: In ACC, you can now adjust the window pane to see all the configurations for packages with many updates.
- Direct URL to the Alarm's Metric Group: The Alarm Details in DX Operational Intelligence provides a raw JSON file in the Alarm Attributes field from which you can extract the value of the Metric Group link in APM. This link points directly to the metric group configured in APM, which caused the Alarm/event.
- Create Dashboards Using Captured Attributes: You can now create dashboards in DX Dashboards using the Captured Attributes from Business Payload Analyzer.
- DX Operational Intelligence Universes Populates with APM Universes: The All My Universes drop-down now also populates the DX Operational Intelligence universes (except for the All Access universe). Such universes are marked with an OI tag with their name in the drop-down list.
- Out-of-the-box Dashboards: This release includes additional APM out-of-the-box dashboards in DX Dashboards. These dashboards are also available in the APM-MetricView folder.
- Optimize Network and CPU Performance in Cloud Proxy: You can now use the apm.server.compressionLevel in the application.yml file to configure the compression level for WebSocket communication between Cloud Proxy and Gateway.
- Infrastructure Agent Enhancement: Disable or Enable the Explain Plan for Slow Queries
- Added Support for AWS OpenSearch: APM infrastructure agent now supports AWS OpenSearch. AWS OpenSearch is an open-source search and analytics suite useful for real-time application monitoring, log analytics, and website search.
- Added Support for MongoDB Version 4.4 and 5: APM infrastructure agent for MongoDB monitoring now supports MongoDB versions 4.4 and 5.
- Added Support for Sysview Version 17: APM infrastructure agent now supports Sysview 17.
- Added Support for IBM WebSphere MQ Version 9.1 and 9.3: APM infrastructure agent now supports IBM WebSphere MQ Version 9.1 and 9.3.
- AWS Graviton2-based EC2 Instances Monitoring: APM now supports AWS Graviton2 based EC2 instances for the cloud workloads running in AWS EC2.
- ASM Monitor Extension Enhancement: ASM topology support is enhanced to provide end-user monitoring covering both real-user and synthetic monitoring from a single pane.
- Cloud Monitoring Agents Performance Improvements: Improvements in Restmon core which will improve the performance of cloud monitoring extensions (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
- Added Support for Windows 2019 for CA SSO: DX Application Performance Management for SiteMinder monitors CA Single Sign-On (CA SSO) now supports Windows 2019.
- UMA Enhancements:
- UMA now supports OpenShift version 4.13.
- UMA Agent now supports the UMA Containerized Service Architecture Java Agent, which is designed to optimize the resource utilization during startup for micro-service containerized applications.
- Added support for PHP Agent Auto Attach
- Improved the security in UMA clusterinfo module.
- UMA Auto Attach for NGINX
- APM .Net Agent .NET 7 support
- .NET Core Linux Upgrade
- Java Agent Enhancements
- The Java Agent extension for Weblogic monitoring now supports Weblogic 14.
- Java Agent now supports WAS (Websphere Liberty) version 23.x.
