Product Release Announcement - Symantec Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) 14.5

Subject:  General Availability Announcement for Symantec IGA 14.5

On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services.  As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that Symantec IGA 14.5 is now available.

New features and enhancements for Symantec IGA 14.5 include:

  • Identity Manager, Governance and Portal now support JBoss EAP 7.4.x and WildFly 23.x for both fresh and upgrade installs. Before upgrading to 14.5, please ensure you migrate the JBoss EAP or WildFly application server to the supported version.
  • All components and the vApp have upgraded Oracle JDBC and Microsoft SQL JDBC drivers. The upgraded Microsoft SQL JDBC driver enables TLS encryption by default, which has no impact on fresh and upgrade installs due to how components internally handle the change.
  • Identity Governance and Identity Manager now support Size-based log rotation. Identity Manager also supports SMTP timeout value configuration, ECDHE ciphers and numerous connector enhancements and certifications.
  • Identity Portal now supports certification campaign reassignments, Single-Factor and Two-Factor authentication configuration for forgotten passwords and custom favicons, as well as numerous interface enhancements.
  • Upgraded support for Symantec IGA JasperReports Server to 8.2 and Symantec Directory to version 14.1 SP4. To learn more about new features in Symantec Directory 14.1 SP4, please see Symantec Directory Documentation.
  • New certifications for standalone instances of IGA include Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and Red Hat Linux 9 as a server platform, Microsoft SQL Server 2022 including SQL Always On Availability Group, Oracle Database 21c including RAC, as well as Symantec PAM 4.1.1, PIM 1.40 and numerous other managed endpoints.

Please note: Symantec IGA supports upgrades from release 14.3 to 14.4 and 14.4 to 14.5 - if customers are on a release prior to 14.4, they must first move to 14.4 before upgrading to 14.5.  Support for 14.4 has been extended through September of 2024 to help with upgrade planning.
