Today, we are pleased to announce that XCOM Data Transport for Linux PC v12.0 is now available.

Featured enhancements for XCOM Data Transport for Linux v12.0 include:

  • Reduced risk of security exposures with enhancements that adhere to secure coding practices
  • Additional security applied to z/OS datasets through the use of Pervasive Encryption
  • Support for OpenJRE in addition to Oracle JRE
    • Users can use their own choice of Java versions and perform maintenance outside of the XCOM environment.
    • Java can now be shared with multiple applications. Sharing Java can reduce the installation footprint.
  • PTF inclusion of accumulated enhancements, such as:
    • Acceptance of a password passphrase
    • An Oracle database can now be used for history and passwordless (trusted) transfers
    • Ability to take advantage of Docker container capabilities
    • Ability to store data transfer activity and perform analytics, including graphic and charting visuals, through an interface with Splunk
    • More efficient time-saving installation and configuration through the use of Ansible, in addition, sample scripts are provided
