Dear Broadcom Customer:

The purpose of this Advisory is to inform you of a potential problem that has been recently identified with Symantec Privileged Access Manager.  Please read the information provided below and follow the instructions in order to avoid being impacted by this problem.   

PRODUCT(S) AFFECTED: Symantec Privileged Access Manager RELEASE: v4.1 and v4.2 (including all service packs)

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 

Microsoft’s recent update Windows 11 24H2 affects the graphical display of the screen in RDP clients. In addition, this update no longer supports the RDP Bitmap Update due to which PAM’s session recording viewer is impacted.
 
IMPACT:
The graphical display and visual layout of the RDP Proxy based clients and session recording viewer will be impacted.
 
WORKAROUND:
We recommend our customers not to install the Windows 11 24H2 update when using Microsoft Remote Desktop clients with session recordings. 
 
PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
Resolution in progress, a follow up notification will be sent when available.
