3 Major Improvements to the Broadcom Support Portal
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the experience of management of our mainframe software products, we have released the following improvements to the Customer Support Portal. Learn about these new features to get more efficient in the management of Broadcom software.

Custom Maintenance Acquisition Interface
Use the new Service Order Online Interface to order, download, and receive maintenance packages for Broadcom Mainframe product solutions. The service order package is acquired through HTTPS using GIMZIP JCL that performs the SMP/E RECEIVE FROMNETWORK command.
This option is more streamlined than the SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval batch JCL option and requires no firewall changes.
Direct Product Acquisition Into z/OSMF
Broadcom Support Portal now enables you to initiate the download of Portable Software Instances from a secure download server directly from z/OSMF, greatly simplifying the software acquisition process. Use the new GIMZIP download option to download the Portable Software Instance to the z/OSMF host directly. For detailed instructions, refer to your product-specific documentation.

Consolidated Product Lifecycle Overview
The new Product Lifecycle Page helps you to quickly determine the end-of-service (EOS) or end-of-life (EOL) support dates for all Broadcom Mainframe products and releases.
