Subject: End of Sale Announcement

 

Broadcom is continually working to improve our product offerings to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with Broadcom’s Support Policy, this announcement is intended to serve as written notification that we have discontinued sales of the individual solutions within the Symantec IT Management Suite family of products: Patch Management Solution, Software Management Solution, Inventory Solution and Deployment Solution. 

Customers who currently own licenses of the individual solutions will continue to receive support until the end of their subscription or support contract. 

At the time of renewal, customers who own such licenses are encouraged to migrate to Symantec IT Management Suite (ITMS), Client Management Suite (CMS) or Server Management Suite (SMS).   ITMS, CMS and SMS include all the functionality collectively found within the individual solutions.

In cases where licenses of individual solutions are being used to manage devices with end user operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11 or macOS), CMS is the appropriate replacement product.  In cases where licenses of individual solutions are being used to manage computers with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server or Linux), SMS is the appropriate replacement products.  In cases where licenses of individual solutions to manage computers with both end user operating systems and server operating systems, both CMS and SMS licenses are needed.  Alternatively, ITMS may be an option.

Because ITMS, CMS and SMS include all the functionality included in the point solutions, only one license is required to manage each device.  For example, if you are currently using one license of Software Management Solution and one license of Patch Management Solution to manage a Windows 11 device, those licenses can be migrated to a single license of CMS.
