A hot fix (HF2) for Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.3.0 Maintenance Pack 1 is now available that addresses the following issues: 

• Users cannot authenticate at the preboot authentication screen with a PIV 8.1 smart card on the following encrypted systems:
  • Dell Latitude E5470
  • Dell Latitude E5490
  • Dell Latitude E6420
• Windows 10 systems freeze when Drive Encryption is installed.
• Systems with the DMA protection feature enabled do not boot correctly when Drive Encryption is installed on these systems:
  • HP EliteBook 840 G6
  • HP ProBook 640 G5
  • HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6

Instructions for installing the hot fix are included in the read me file that accompanies the hot fix.
