We are pleased to announce the move to standardize our product release nomenclature across all Broadcom Software products released after September 18th, 2023.

Impacting all new product releases posted after September 18th, 2023, the new naming standard will adhere to the following format:  WW.XX.YY.

  • WW = Major Release
  • XX = Minor Release
  • YY = Release Update

Important: The new naming convention will have no impact on existing releases, which will retain the specific nomenclature assigned at the time of their release.

Please reference the below chart for additional information and examples.

For products previously utilizing a four-segment release naming convention, the third segment (Release Update) and fourth segment (Maintenance Pack) will be merged into a single segment. This will reflect a product increment based on minor feature enhancements, customer-reported bugs, security fixes, and currency-caliber enhancements.

Furthermore, the ‘Service Pack’ field associated with the product versions at the Broadcom Support site will be renamed to ‘Release Level Info’ and it will be available for ALL product versions.
