Dear Broadcom Customer:
The purpose of this Critical Alert is to inform you of a potential problem that has been recently identified with Control Compliance Suite (CCS) agents. Please read the information provided below and follow the instructions in order to avoid being impacted by this problem.
PRODUCT(S) AFFECTED: Control Compliance Suite RELEASE: 12.5.1, 12.5.2 and 12.6.0
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
On April 29, 2023, the existing Symantec certificates on the affected agent versions will expire and the Agent Product Update (APU) jobs will not work on Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Agents
SYMPTOMS:
The agent will fail to update with the message “Failed to patch or upgrade the agent"
IMPACT:
Agent Product Update (APU) jobs will not work on affected Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Agents
PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
To mitigate this risk, You must apply the following HotFix based on the applicable version using the APU mechanism or agent installers before April 29, 2023
Hotfix (HF#10205) package for CCS 12.5.x agents
Hotfix (HF#10003) package for CCS 12.6.0 agents
You can upgrade your existing agents to these hotfixes either by executing the Agent Product Update (APU) job or by installing these agents by agent installer. These hotfixes will update the required certificates on existing agents, ensuring that the future Agent Product Upgrade (APU) jobs work without issues.
