Problem Description
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IFCID 140, 141, 142, and 145 records, used for auditing various
events, contain an SQL statement preceded by a halfword length.
In DB2 Version 7 and below, the halfword length was included in
the length value. In DB2 Version 8 and above, it is not. This
change results in the truncation of the last two bytes of the SQL
statement at V8 and above.
SYMPTOMS:
The last two bytes of the statement are missing.
IMPACT:
The entire statement cannot be seen.
CIRCUMVENTION/PROPER HANDLING:
None.
PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
A change in DB2 V8 made the length field preceding the SQL
statement exclusive of the length itself. In V7 and earlier, it
had been inclusive.
